The Venice Public Art Forum is dedicated to invigorating Venice, California, with public art, performances, events, aesthetic and historic architecture, landscaping, streetscaping and community. |
MEMBERSHIP AND PARTICIPATION Initiated in 2005, The Venice Public Art Forum is comprised of experienced, outstanding, and productive artists, architects, historians, journalists, landscapers, engineers, professionals and business persons, primarily living and working in Venice. We collaborate on projects with, and invite the participation of, other Venice neighborhood organizations including: The Venice Action Committee, The Venice Neighborhood Housing Corporation and The Venice Historical Society. We welcome active and supporting individual and group members to participate on specific projects or all of our efforts. We are not a legal entity; not-for-profit corporate status is derived through our collaborations with such groups. Our participants and advisors iinclude: Robin Murez (public artist /attorney), Lisa Ezell (art consultant), Kimberly Stevens (architecture journalist), Wayne and Donna Gunther (design business owners), Denise Ruttman (business owner), Betsy Goldman (historian) , Ron Rouda (attorney), Nancy Locke (arts facilitator), Marty Paull (architecture professor, UCLA) and with support from The Venice Community Trust and the Venice Chamber of Commerce. |
