THE BRONZE CAMELS

Once upon a time... just about 100 years ago, a man named Abbot Kinney created a beachfront town called Venice, California. Fashioned after Venice, Italy, with canals, gondolas, colonnades, poets, musicians, artists carousels and rollercoasters, and CAMELS..

Yes, for special celebrations, Mr. Kinney embellished the unique and exotic activities in Venice by offering rides along the Midway atop saddled CAMELS..

As Venice enters the new Millennium, what better way to celebrate our forever exotic, artistic and bohemian spirit but with an elegant installation of life size bronze camel sculptures, seemingly strolling along Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
